COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Math 96 is a course that provides students the opportunity to gain fundamental Math skills to enter employment or continue their education. This course covers basic Math skills on the following topics: Whole Numbers, Integers, Factors and Multiples, Fractions and Decimals, Patterns and Relations, Measurement and Geometry, Transformations, Data Management, and Rates, Ratios and Percents. In order to meet the required hours of instructions, this course is taught in two parts. Math 96 is taught every day for one semester in a single class block while Math 96+ will be taught every other day on either a Day 1 or Day 2 in the same semester with the same teacher. Students who successfully complete this course will have an opportunity to take Math 10-4 in their Grade 10 year.
