COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course expands on the improvisational theatre unit taught in the Drama 9/10 unit. In this course, students will learn and be able to demonstrate various short-form improv skills, such as acting on impulse, dissociative thinking, offers, advancing and expanding, celebrating failure, the elements of a scene, character and narrative skills. Students will be introduced to various short-form formats and structures, and will perform at the Northern Alberta Improv League in Edmonton, as well as school shows.
