English 10-4

Knowledge and Employability English language arts focuses on developing the basic language competencies needed for everyday living at home, in the community and in the workplace by using the 5 strands of ELA (reading, writing, listening, viewing and representing). Students work towards these competencies through novel studies, essay writing, research projects and personal journals. Students who have completed this course will have an opportunity to take English 20-4 in their grade 11 year.
