English 09

English Language Arts is a literature-based course that also promotes the development and mastery of grammar, library research, and other essential language skills. Writing activities allow students to experience personal, creative, and critical writing approaches. Language arts skills such as representation and self-assessment are also part of the course of studies. In order to meet the required hours of instructions, this course is taught in two parts. ELA 9 is taught every day for one semester in a single class block while English 9+ will be taught every other day on either a Day 1 or Day 2 in the same semester with the same teacher.
